wifi faster than wired on M1 iMac

Anyone know why upload speeds on WiFi 6 is faster than ethernet on my M1 iMac?

WiFi:

ethernet:

My network setup:

router is a custom build consisting of a Dell Optiplex 5050 running OPNsense connected to a 1G switch that has everthing connected to it. The WiFi is supplied by an enGenius WAP that connects to a PoE switch that connects to the 1st switch. Everything is in the same room. All cables are brand new cat6.

iMac 24″, macOS 12.3

I figured it out. I'm learning how to use my new OPNsense and I guess I misunderstood the traffic shaper. I turned off the shaper for the iMacs ethernet address and now it's blazingly fast lesson learned

I ran iperf3 on wifi and ethernet on my iMac. Wifi was faster again. I then ran iperf3 on my Windows PC which is also over ethernet and it was faster than wifi. So something is definitely wrong with the ethernet port on the iMac.
