iPad app trouble

Certain apps on my iPad will not open when I sign in. I’ve shut down and reloaded with no success.

iPad Apps Most of the apps I've downloaded won't open. I click on their icon, the screen goes black, and a couple of seconds later I'm back at the Home screen without anything having happened.
