MAC address filter

My Epson wireless printer worked fine until a few days ago. The diagnostic printout as to why it can't connect to my router is Disable MAC address Filter. Does anyone know how to do this?

I was on the phone with Verizon tech help for over an hour then disconnected with no solution. It is maddening.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I listened to all the comments and found them very helpful but I could not get the printer to connect. Then I noticed other wireless electronics with dropped signals. As chance would have it, my new sound bar quit working so I called the company and they sent someone out. He asked what was going on and I told him about my printer, cameras, thermostat, etc. He tried to log in and could get 5G but not the lower version that wireless accessories run on. It was then he asked if I had a router. I thought the router was the Verizon hook-up in my office - he said that's the modem. Then I remembered that 8 years ago we got new TVs and had them wired through the ceilings so we were cord free and they put a "thing" on top of the laundry room cabinets. That "thing" is the router to which you all have referred! I unplugged it, waited one minute, and it works. My apologies for being so dense, but please know that your help was very much appreciated.

Before you get too carried away with the possibility your router's settings spontaneously changed on their own, consider the likelihood the diagnostic message regarding MAC address filtering is simply wrong. All you really know is the printer isn't communicating with your Mac.

MAC Address Filtering requires deliberately configuring that option in your router, and it's not a common practice for simple home networks intended for private use.

Determine, if you can, the exact Epson printer and Verizon router model designations as Jan Hedlund requested. Printing isn't supposed to be this difficult, besides, it worked before and it should work again.

Sometimes all it takes to fix things is to power-cycle the printer and / or router. Unplug them, let them rest a moment, plug them back in and power them on again. That action might allow your Mac to discover the printer again.

Or perhaps the printer is just broken. That happens too. Verizon isn't likely to be of much help with an Epson printer. (Actually, neither is Epson.)
