magic keyboard
Keys o, I, j, k, l, m, and 9 not working on iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021). Only keyboard that does work is an older magic keyboard with numbers key.
This has happened since Mac was brand new.
iMac 24″, macOS 12.3

A surprising number of people have encountered this problem. I think the most recent MacOS versions may have the 5 option press trigger for activating Mouse Keys on by default (which makes no sense). Many users never do that, so they don't notice, while some wind up doing it and then have 789uiojkl inactive. If you do a google search on that string you will find quite a few hits going back a a few years.

Well Partner ya fixed it! I Certainly Appreciate it! Odd thing tho, I'd called into apple support and they never mentioned this (while setting up a New computer - was Not a setting I changed).
Appreciate your taking time to helpout.
Yeah, I'd read to do that and nothing changes. Right now I have both the numbers keyboard and the small magic keyboard connected -- hit the options key five times on both and now difference.
Have you also gone to Accessibility preferences > pointer control > alternate methods and made sure Mouse Keys is unchecked?
You probably have Mouse Keys turned on in your Accessibilty preferences. Try hitting the option key 5 times.
