Green Dot on Apple Watch screen

There is a green dot showing up on the top of my Apple Watch screen that shows up when I'm in a call but does not go away after the call is over. When I tap on it, it takes me to the phone app on the watch which shows that my last call is still active. After I press the hang-up button, the green dot goes away. I've tried resetting the watch and this continues to occur. How do I get the watch to sync the phone app up correctly?

I am running watchOS 8.5.1
