I am trying to play music from Tidal to my Naim muso but my new 2020 macbook air will not connect to airply when i click on Muso also will not pick up my smart tv. I get a pop up saying this device has no output control.

Trying to play Music from tidal on airplay device, Naim Muso, but my new MacBook Air 2020 will not pick up airplay device when I click on it. I get a pop up saying this device has no output control. My iPhone and old MacBook Pro are still able to connect. My MacBook Air is up to date with latest software. Has anyone got an answer. Thanks

Hi Browsjb,

It sounds like you have your wireless speaker (Naim Muso) connected to your MacBook Air and you're trying to AirPlay music from your MacBook Air to the speaker. Check to see if you're able to AirPlay other content to your speaker, not just Tidal.

Go to System Preferences > Sound > Output tab and select your speaker. Also, make sure that the mute button isn't checked.

Hi, Since posting I have been trying to get my MacBook Air to play my Mu- so player on air play. I was on the Tidal app clicking on all the options just in hope it would connect, then suddenly my Mu- so started to play. There was a tick box on the tidal app saying system controlled did not know what that meant so clicking on that and between internal speaker ticked box and something happened and all was good. So I'm still not sure how I fixed the problem but it seems I have. Thanks for your reply all seems to be good for now. Cheers
