Will a new iMac recognize an old keyboard?

I am awaiting delivery of a new 24" iMac. It will replace my current 21.5" Late 2012 iMac.

Will my existing keyboard Model A1243 work with the new 24" iMac?

Note: The new keyboard does NOT have a numeric keypad whereas my existing keyboard DOES have a numeric keypad. I realize that using my old keyboard I will give up touch ID and would need a USB adaptor to connect the old keyboard. I also realize a new keyboard with numeric keypad can be purchased separately.

Thanks

With a USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple, yes.
