Downloaded Monterey now nothing works - can't login

I recently updated to Monterey OS - now I can't even login because the trackpad doesn't work, and I can't restart in "safe mode" because the keyboard doesn't work at all.

What exact Mac is this?

what macOS were you running before you upgraded the macOS?


Have you tried an external keyboard and compare your results
