Will my 2018 iMac support 1GB transmission speed?

Looking at AT&T 1GB fiber (currently have AT&T 400MB). AT&T will provide router to transmit that 1GB speed but I am uncertain as to whether the existing factory installed iMac network card (wireless and Ethernet) will support that transmission speed. Thanks for any correct answer.

I believe the highest protocol it supports is 802.11ac. Here's everything you ever wanted to know about 802.11ac
