She is able to dial my wife's contact with a simple phone number, but not my work conference line which requires a pause and extension number. I have tried deleting and recreating the contact, same result. iPhoneX on latest iOS.

Have you entered the pause command in your contacts correctly? (The semicolon is used for a hard (pause until tapping a dial button) pause, while a comma would be used for a soft 2-second pause.)

The problem appears to be the # required at the end of the string. Comma is the appropriate pause for many conf lines, not the hard pause. This is very frustrating. Frequently voice dial into conference calls and now can’t….
