My M1 mac mini wont login anymore and the PRAM wont reset

I've seen people have this same issue where they're essentially locked out of their computer, which is nuts... but the solution people seem to see, resetting the PRAM by restarting while holding option + command + P + R, it doesnt do anything ??

Please help! I have work deadlines...

I did not restore from any kind of backup and started completely new. I’ve looked up all the different key combinations for starting up an Intel-Based Mac and none of them work, the MBP will only boot into safe mode. Even if I do nothing and just let it boot on its own, it boots into safe mode. I can log in to the MBP but ONLY if I’m holding down the “command” key while it is booting up. Once I am logged in, everything works fine EXCEPT for the left “shift” key. It will not register when I try to type with it and it doesn’t register when I have the digital keyboard on screen showing which keys I’m hitting. *Note* It never occurred to me that the issue could’ve been the left “shift” button all along because I primarily use the right “shift” button.

Login stuck after update macOS Ventura Does anyone have a problem logging into the system after updating to macOS Ventura? After entering the user name and password, the thermometer gets stuck while logging in. The problem is related to M1 processors (Mac with Intel is without problems). Mac is in MDM and FileVault is enabled.

Are you encountering an error when attempting to log in? Are there any other accounts set up on the device that we can log in to?

If the issue seems password related, are you able to reset the password? Reset your Mac login password
