I bought a new macbook pro 14 in,

I was wondering whether I can use 60W MagSafe Power Adapter with MagSafe 2 style connector (2013 ~ 2015) to charge 2021 14 inch macbook pro?

It's much more than just connector shape.

The MagSafe 1 and 2 use a different power-negotiation protocol from MagSafe-3, over the data bus pin -- the one pin that is not power or ground.

MagSafe 1 and 2:

The MagSafe 3 uses something more like USB-C power delivery protocol.
