Watch tracking failures

has anyone had issues where the watch stops tracking either just active calories or everything?

Once I reset my watch it generally kicks in and back tracks what wasn’t displaying, sometimes it takes switching of fitness tracking in the app and restarting phone and watch for it to kick back in.

ive taken this to apple and we’ve tried all sorts including wiping it completely and setting up as new, which seemed to work for a couple of weeks before I started seeing the issue again. I’m the end apple sent my watch off and they returned it with a replacement.

but the replacement does the same thing. Its not every day, it’s intermittent, just frustrating. Am I doing something wrong?

attached are several photos showing how my watch looks at different times of the day, typically my watch goes on around 6.30am each day.
