USA Apple Watch (Cellular + GPS) in Europe

My wife and I currently live in Spain but while back in the US visiting family a couple months ago we purchased two US regioned Cellular + GPS Apple Series 7 watches, Model A2475 (41mm) And Model A2477(45mm). We read a lot of threads, stating that they would not work in Spain, nor in most of Europe, but when comparing the antennas (frequencies) between the US models and European models, I believed they would work so we took the chance. I’m happy to report that both watches work flawlessly throughout Spain. One watches is on the Orange network and the other is on Vodafone’s network. The only frequency that didn’t match up between the Spanish and European Apple Watch models is the UMTS 900 MHz, so I am guessing that 2G would not work here, as the antenna in both our models doesn’t support this frequency. The good news is, there are almost no areas throughout Spain that still use 2G so we will not have any issues. I’ll continue to update this post as we visit many of the countries throughout Europe, buying local cellular plans for our watches. Based on the frequency list provided by Apple, I believe they will work in about 90% of Europe. I understand that Apple must say they will not work because there are no guarantees but I am proof that they work well in Spain. I see no features that are not currently working.
