Why can I not buy applecare+ for my MacBook Pro?

When did you purchase your MacBook Pro? If more than 60 days ago, you cannot add an AppleCare+ Plan.


See this:


  1. Purchase AppleCare+ with your new Mac.
  2. Or buy it within 60 days of your Mac purchase:
    • On your device (go to  > About This Mac > Support)
    • Online (requires you to verify your serial number)
    • At an Apple Store (inspection of Mac and proof of purchase are required)
    • By calling 800-275-2273

You have a limited 60 days to purchase Apple Care+ after a new purchase...
