I found Someone’s AirPods. How can I notify them ?

I found Someone’s AirPods. How can I notify them ? I’m receiving notifications the that someone else’s pods are with me and they can see my location. Is there a way to notify the owner?

They will have no way of contacting you. They can head out and track the last location for up to 24 hours. Newer AirPods can be placed in lost mode which will give the owner the option of displaying contact info. Find your lost AirPods - Apple Support

A message came up on my phone that said something about that there was a way to notify owner and to proceed to the website but once I get to the website it just talks about how to use the find my device products and options. I’m not that interested in turning this into the local police department because my guess is nothing will happen they will just sit there and someone will end up taking them home.

If anyone out there knows how to get notification sent to the owner through their iCloud account that would be great…
