I upgraded to Monterery OS yesterday and shut down after installation. I re-opened the iMac this morning to discover that the SD card slot does not work. I also tried my husband's Apple USB C to SD card reader but that wouldn't work either. I checked various SD cards to make sure none were faulty and the result was still the same: no card opened. Any ideas how to solve this one please?

Sorry, but could you explain that in full please - I know a bit but not much. Not a computer expert!
SMC reset:
Unplug iMac from wall, waits 3 minutes and plug back in

I have a Studio Max w/12.3.1 and the built-in SD card reader and works fine as does a an SD reader built into a dock made for a later-model Mini.
