Syncing Memoji from iOS to Mac OS

I'm hoping to get the Memoji I've built in iOS from my iPhone and iPad onto my MacBook Pro. I found another thread on this topic, but the solution there was to upgrade to Monterey, with no further explanation. I'm running Monterey 12.3.1 and iOS 15.4.1. I see no option to export or import Memoji, and the avatar I created for myself on my iPhone doesn't appear on my Mac. Any suggestions? (Besides starting all over to create the same Memoji on my Mac, I mean.)

Well, John, if you choose to get help from Apple, I hope you have better luck than I did—which was no luck at all. All I encountered was poor listening, therefore complete misunderstanding of my problem, followed by the rep's utter bafflement, and her finally giving me absolutely incorrect information. Easily the worst help experience I've ever had with Apple. My ultimate solution was to build a completely new Memoji on both my MacBook and iOS devices, using the new facial features and clothing options that were added since I originally built mine. I'd pick a feature like glasses, then count to see which frames I'd chosen on the Mac, then count to ensure I had the same option chosen on my iPhone. Voila! After about 15 minutes, my brute-force fix succeeded, and my Memojis were synced. I'm bugged that it didn't all just work the way it's supposed to, but not bugged enough to waste any more time trying to get help from Apple.

If you are signed in to the same Apple ID in Messages on your Mac then the Memoji's on your phone should automatically sync with your Mac. Try following the instructions here to try to access the Memoji feature in Messages. If there are no synced Memoji's try syncing the Messages app with your iCloud account by going to Messages>Preferences>iMessage, and click "Sync Now" and wait a couple of seconds, then try using the Memoji feature again.

Well, I started a chat in Messages with support, and we went around the block a few times, but at least that guy seemed to understand what I wanted to do. He couldn't get it to work for me, so he passed me on to phone support, and I've been talking for 45 minutes to a woman who refuses to understand what I'm trying to do. She keeps wanting my to make my Memoji my photo ID by changing the photo I have on my card in Contacts. Then she asked the engineers for help, and relayed their response to me, which was this article on animated Memojis: Use Memoji on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

As "proof" that I shouldn't expect my Memoji to sync to my Mac, she showed me this list of compatible devices: iPhone and iPad models that support Face ID - Apple Support and clearly the Mac is not listed. Problem is that neither my iPhone nor my iPad is on this list, yet they sync fine. So now I'm on another lengthy hold, but I don't think my chances are good of solving my problem, at least with this rep. I've asked to be passed on to someone who might listen to me long enough to understand the problem I'm trying to solve, but so far I'm just on my third lengthy hold. Very disappointing.

Not that it matters, but the chat in Messages was OK. The phone help was awful. And the final word? She told me that Memoji created on iOS won't sync to Mac. I would have to recreate my Memoji in Messages on the Mac. The reason is that "they're two different softwares." Honestly, I could have done that in the first place and saved myself an hour and a half trying to get help, but I thought from this and other threads that this should work as well as another other iCloud sync across MacOS and iOS. (For the record, I don't believe for a minute what she told me.)

I'm having the same problem. I got a new Mac Studio about a month ago, and the Memoji I created on my iPhone 12 mini (iOS up to date) DOES NOT automatically show up in Messages on my Mac, as everything I could find on the topic says it should. It's NOT where it's supposed to be. I'm signed in to the same account on both (only account I have), I've logged out and back in, restarted my computer many times, and it's not there. My previous computer was running 10.14, which did not support Memojis, so there was no previous Memoji to transfer over during migration.
