LaCie 6Big Monterey 12.3.1 Apple Silicon SLOW SPEED ISSUE

My LaCie 6Big runs slow via Thunderbolt on Monterey 12.3.1 on Apple Silicon (M1 Max).

I have tried different TB3 cables. Re-installed LRM. Checked Security in Prefs and boot options.

Issue solved on M1 Max with the new LRM version 2.9.4.

Use in-app Update option.

Are you using the cables supplied by LaCie? My LaCie drives failed to operate at any reasonable speed unless I used the cable that came in the package.

If no joy there, contact LaCie and request a warranty replacement if the drive is new. If it's an old drive, it may just be tired and slowing down because of age related failures within the circuitry.

It’s not fixed as you stated, with no comment from Apple as usual. They are aware of this issue and if past is any indication they will not acknowledge it. There are some work around of connection with external display or TB3 on both thunderbolt ports to get speed boost. I haven’t tested yet but clearly with so many people reporting this as an issue , this a bug. For a company that spend a lot of time on engineering it is strange that such obvious things are overlooked by them . At the moment you can only wait and hope that Apple meets the speciations on the product and fix this problem.
