Cable killed

iPad 9 is killing charging cables within about 3 weeks. We have used 2 apple cables and several different brands of expensive braided heavy cables. After about three weeks of charging the iPad daily these cables become useless for any apple product. In fact, the one that died yesterday plugged into my iPhone this am started draining the energy. This has been a problem since purchasing the iPad 9 in December. We are buying and tossing out cables on a regular basis. Did not realize this iPad would be such expensive high maintenance. Any suggestions.
