Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;
• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed
• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)
• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically
• Disables user-installed fonts
• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

No sorry, I gave up searching thru the logs sometime ago.
As an Apple user like yourself, all I can do is encourage you to send feedback to Apple with as much detail as possible.
I also get a short delay on Ethernet as well.
There is really no reason to sleep newer Mac’s as you come and go during the day. Go to the Energy Saver Preference and check “Prevent your Mac from automatically sleeping….” and just allow the Display(s) to turn off after 10 to 15 minutes.
Personally I use the following Energy Saver settings in Monterey.
Any thoughts on why it happens in Monterey when I never experienced this on previous versions?
