How to deactivate ApplePay?

I have my payment method for Apple charges entered on iTunes. I do not want ANY payment method to appear on my iPhone 13 Pro on Apple Pay. I do not even want the Apple Pay app on my phone. How can I remove or deactivate the ApplePay app on my phone, or at least remove all information about the one credit card that is now listed? The system won't let me remove it.
