When I open the Scanner app, I have an HP 8610 all-in-one device fully connected, and it will scan off the document feeder just fine. However, there is no button in the options to enable double scanning or duplex scanning, like the Monterey instructions seem to have. Is this an issue with the scanner or is there something to do in the OS to enable this?

I have installed the software. Unfortunately - their software does not seem to support duplex scanning, either. I tried installing just the driver software but HP forces you into their "HP Smart" software instead of just the driver.
The Mac OS duplex scanning option is still missing. I'm wondering if it is a problem with the HP printer. This is frustrating because their duplex scanning worked on my old windows laptop...but generally HP has been nothing but annoyances and bloatware and mediocre ink these days...
How can I enable duplex scanning for the HP 8610?
