Distorted sound between MacBook Pro and Megaboom 3 speaker -

I have a Logitech Negaboom 3 speaker that works fine with my iPhone and iPad. When I connect the Megaboom 3 to my MacBook pro, it plays well for maybe 10 seconds then starts to terribly distort. Since the speaker plays fine with my other Apple devices, the problem has to be within the MacBook Pro and speaker. This connection is via bluetooth on all devices. I have tried a number a times of disconnecting the bluetooth connection between the speaker and laptop, but that has not fixed the trouble. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
