I lost iphone 11 pro max I owned previously. It is registered to same icloud as this one. I have serial no.s Find my iphone is on. It has been 48hrs since.But the phone has been turned off. How can i track using serial no or IMEI?

FindMy is the only “locating” method available to you.


Offline finding “may” work, but only if other “cooperating” Apple devices are nearby.


Note that thieves will usually take active measures to prevent FindMy from working.


This remains your best available guide:


If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support


Lastly, be extra cautious around any messages claiming to have found your phone.


This is a common scam attempting to compromise your phone and/or your AppleID.


REVEAL NOTHING.

Beware of a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” (or sometimes “Police”) saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple or from law enforcement; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it.
