How to create apple id for child without card details

I got a MacBook recently and trying to setup an account for my daughter. The only payments supported in India are UPI and Net Banking. As part of setting up child account, I am being asked card details and it doesn't work when I give them on the screen (I suspect because cards are not supported payment option in India). What is the way out? This looks like broken experience.
