My AirPods Pro won't go into pairing mode.

My AirPods work(ed) fine except they won't go into pairing mode. Someone told me to forget the device on my phone and go from there. They STILL won't go into pairing mode and now I don't have them connected to my phone or my computer. I'm just asking what to do from here.
