Apple Fitness + not working across Apple One account

I have a premier Apple One account for family sharing. Issue is that my wife cannot access Apple Fitness + on the Apple TV or on my Ipad.

When she goes to start a work and selects her Apple watch S7 it only offers to "try", however when i do the same thing it works fine.

The service only works on her iphone so we know the sharing is working at some level.

All devices (TV and Watch) are latest versions.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Kris.

Hello ballum2022,

You can find some good information about sharing your Apple Fitness+ subscription here: Subscribe to Apple Fitness+

Share your Apple Fitness+ subscription with Family Sharing

When you subscribe to Apple Fitness+ or Apple One Premier, you can use Family Sharing to share your subscription with up to five other family members. Your family group members donʼt need to do anything—Apple Fitness+ is available to them the first time they open the Fitness app after your subscription begins, as long as they have an Apple Watch Series 3 or later. If a family member has an Apple Watch, but no iPhone (because their Apple Watch was set up by a family member), they can still use Apple Fitness+ with Apple TV or with an iPad.

If your family can't access shared content, the information and steps here may help: If you can't find your family's shared content

If you need further assistance, please contact Apple Support. You may be able to reach them here: Get Support

Thanks!

Hello

Brittney,

Thanks

for confirming my wife should be able to use my IPad with her Apple Watch (S7)

to do apple fitness on my iPad.  This confirms my understanding but this

does not answer my question as to why it is not working.

I am

sharing my Apple One subscription and she can not use the apple fitness app on

my IPad OR Apple TV.  Is there someone i can talk to who can look at my

account setup and advise any issue?

Thanks

Hello,

So to update we have been able to get Fitness working for my wife on apple TV but to be honest this seems more a workaround.  We set up a separate account on the TV (we have both always just used mine in the past) and now by switching between profiles depending on who is working out either of us can both access Fitness.  Can I ask if this is an "updated feature" as before we both used my single account on the TV and the fitness app would just always ask who was working out which we would confirm via watch.  Now having to switch profiles seems a very un-intuitive and unnecessary step and more a work around to fix a broken function.

Regards Fitness on the iPad. My understanding is that you can only have a single profile set up on an iPad?  Can you advise how I can set up a second profile?  Again in the past we both used the Fitness App on my iPad and on beginning the workout it world ask who was doing the workout.  Now this option is not there.  I would be interested to understand how we can switch profiles without completing having to log out and log in on the Ipad.

Thanks,

Kris

Hi ballum2022,

To help with this issue, have you made sure you sign out of the iPad prior to having your wife try to use the Apple Fitness with it? As far as the Apple TV, you may have to make sure you add your wife as a user as shown in this article: Set up multiple users on Apple TV - Apple Support

Add a family member to your Apple TV
Open Settings on Apple TV.
Go to  Users and Accounts > Add New User, then enter a new Apple ID.

If you still would like to speak with someone about this, Contact Apple for support and service.
