Swollen Apple Watch battery

Do you trust Apple has fixed the battery problem. The face just popped off my Gen 1 and I’m seeing several others saying the same. I took it off of charger, put it on, and the screen just fell off.

Lithium ion batteries will swell over time. That is normal. If your battery has swollen to the point where the screen has been forced off, it's time to make arrangements to have your watch serviced:

Given the age of your watch, it may also be worth considering a replacement.

I don’t know think having technology that can’t handle more than 5 years of use is a great plan for Apple. My watch face just popped off as well. I like my watch. It does everything I need/want and I shouldn’t have to throw it into a landfill just because Apple wants me to buy new. I sincerely hope Apple has the parts to repair my watch?

Well, if you have a better technology for rechargeable batteries for small electronics, by all means, bring it to market. You'll make trillions. Meanwhile, get lithium ion batteries replaced when they drop below 80%.
