Recovering screen recording audio

Hi there,

I was screen recording a FaceTime with a loved one who has since passed away recently. When looking at the video I recorded a few months ago, I found that it didn’t record any of the audio of my loved one. I have read ways of what to do before you start recording now, but is there any possible way to recover that audio after having recorded it?

please and thank you,

corey

Hi Corey,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We're sorry to hear you've lost a loved one. Please accept our sincere condolences.

We understand that you've recorded a FaceTime call with your loved one but there is no sound. We don't have the option to recover sound from a video if it wasn't included in the original recording. You can learn more here: Record the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Some apps might not allow you to record audio. You can't record your screen and use screen mirroring at the same time.

Take care.
