How do I correct my misspelled icloud.com email address name?
When I set up icloud several years ago I misspelled my name for the email address (extra letter). How can I correct this?

When I set up icloud several years ago I misspelled my name for the email address (extra letter). How can I correct this?
Unfortunately you cannot. The way email addresses work, is that the part before the @ is a unique identifier that does to allow changes. Changing that part means the email address is a completely new and different one. myname@server.com is a complete different thing to mynames@server.com for example.
In the case of iCloud it would necessitate creating a completely new account.
What you can do however, is create an Alias with the correct spelling, and use that Alias instead for all your email needs and to hand out to people so they can email you back. The misspelled version will continue to exist, be usable, and continue to be tied to your existing account however.
