Hi Gsauceyboi69,

To clarify, is your iPhone completely shutting down to where you need to press and hold the Side button to turn it back on or is it auto-locking to where you need to unlock your iPhone to get to the Home Screen? We want to ensure that we understand what's going on with your iPhone after you pause a YouTube video.

If your iPhone is auto-locking, you can change the amount of time it takes for your iPhone to auto-lock in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock. This can allow you to set a longer time before it auto-locks after you pause a YouTube video or no longer using your iPhone.

Another setting you can check to help with this is the Attention Aware Features feature in Settings > Face ID & Passcode. That feature checks to make sure you are looking at your iPhone before dimming or locking the screen.

If your iPhone is unexpectedly shutting down or restarting, then the steps inside this article can possibly resolve that issue: If your iOS or iPadOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - Apple Support

Take care!
