Error message during HD verification

MacBook Air (2015), running Big Sur 11.6.5

While verifying the HD via Disk Utilities, part of the message was:

"Performing deferred repairs.

error: Unable to perform deferred repairs without full space verification

error: Try running fsck against the entire APFS container instead of a volume

The volume /dev/rdisk1s1 could not be verified completely.

File system check exit code is 0.

Restoring the original state found as mounted."

What does this mean, especially full space verification, and how can I run fsck on the entire APFS container? There is no choice of container in Terminal.

... means that Disk Utility wants you to select the container. They are shown in its Sidebar.

Containers can encompass one or more Volumes. Refer to the Disk Utility User Guide.

Select Show All Devices from the View menu or taskbar icon.
