I do Not want to have a passcode on my Iphone

HOW can I stop this wanting to set up a passcode. At 70 years old I do not want to add a password that I cannot remember. It used to take a 4 digit code which I could remember but it wants more. It is my phone why can I not choose to not have a password. This is ridiculous.

Turn off the passcode

  1. Go to Settings , then do one of the following:
    • On an iPhone with Face ID: Tap Face ID & Passcode.
    • On an iPhone with a Home button: Tap Touch ID & Passcode.
  1. Tap Turn Passcode Off.

I do not want to have a face ID either.. This is ridiculous. I just want to use my phone as I have previously used it not with all these annoying things that have to be done.

Great for new models but I should be able to continue on my old model Iphone 7 without all these stupid requirements..

It will not save my passwords and I cannot remember them. Just want to continue using it as I previously did. Had a 4 digit pin and all was well. now I am in tears and it keeps blocking my access to my Apple account. I reset the password last week and wrote id down but now it has locked me out again saying the password was wrong. I DON'T WANT A PASSWORD>
