Virus pop up

I got a virus pop up on my iPhone 12 mini. I panicked and downloaded the app. What do I do???? Please help!!! I deleted it already but should I do anything else?

Set up iCloud Keychain

Create a strong password for your Apple ID, It is best if your password consists of eight or more characters and include upper and lowercase letters, and at least one number. You can also add extra characters and punctuation marks to make your password even stronger. 

Never provide your password, passcode, security questions, verification codes, recovery key or any other account security details to anyone else. Apple will never ask you for this information.

What makes you think it is a virus?


If you are so concerned than, as a last resort would be to set this up anew as if you were to sell it. Make note I’ve all apps prior to the reset: What to do Before you Sell, Give Away, or Trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
