Favorites/tags disappearing from files app

This is more of an answer than a question, I’m not sure why but recently my favorites and my tagged files all disappeared from the favorites and tags. They were still on my device and still appeared to be marked as “favorites” and “tag” but I could not unfavorite them. I looked through a bunch of forums and couldn’t find a single solution so I figured I’d post what I found.

I made a new folder, moved my other folders into the new folder, then favorited the new folder. I went back to check and lo and behold all my tags and favorites reappeared. I unfavorited everything that had disappeared, moved them back to their original location and then favorited it again. They’re all still visible and I just deleted the new folder so it looks just like it did before everything mysteriously vanished.

Basically, move all your files into one new folder and all your favorites and tags should reappear. I just did the extra steps bc I wanted it to look like it previously did.
