Hello everyone
I just bought a mac mini and still had a 1080p DELL brand monitor on my desk.
I edit photos and videos in 4k.
I knew I was going to buy another monitor, but there are so many 4k monitors on the internet.
I see all the good comments under each monitor, but really don't know which one to buy.
So I thought I'd ask the community.
I just want a decent 4k monitor with nice colors and a smooth image.
Can you help me?

That's quite a healthy budget for a display.
The Studio display is an option, but for that amount of money I think I'd go for the BenQ SW271c

Otherwise an LG Ultrafine IPS panel is a great choice for less money.

Then you can get a 5K LG monitor for about $1200.00 that has speakers, camera and ports or the new Apple Studio display for about $1600.00 with similar features. I use the LG with my Mini M1 and works great. Check out Amazon (I got a refurbished unit that looks like new).
What kind of budget do you have for the monitor?
That's going to provide a range of things to look at.
Otherwise, I could just suggest the $4999 Pro Display XDR form Apple, but that's likely overkill and outside of most people's budget.
Tell us how much you are looking to spend, and we can provide some suggestions.
I have a 21" Samsung, works well but screen not large enough. Bought a 27" HP, works very well, very happy.
