64Gb Phone Running Out of Memory
How do I delete photos from iPhone WITHOUT deleting from iCloud?
How do I delete photos from iPhone WITHOUT deleting from iCloud?
Assuming you have iCloud Photos turned on already:
in Settings, General, iphone storage
Turn on "optimised storage "
Make sure you have enough iCloud storage and it sounds like 200GB would be the right minimum.
Manage your photo and video storage – Apple Support (UK)
50 GB iCloud may not be enough. If it is then great or, 200 is the next option.
I only have 64Gb memory on my phone. Will the Optimized Storage help? Seems like you thought I had 200Gb in your suggestion.
Thank you so much for responding!
Ah I see, I thought you meant the iPhone RAM, and you were referring to iCloud space, yes I have 200GB. So setting Optimized Storage will eventually help the iPhone gain some RAM to function?
It should do.
Just to be a bit nerdy, RAM and Storage are two separate areas of hardware, but yes you need 10% spare storage to function properly and optimise should sort that out.
Great Thank you very much!
You're welcome, good luck.
