I keep getting a pop-up message that tells me that Safari is using an encrypted connection to a web site. While that's nice to know, I don't feel like I need to be told that repeatedly. Can I change a preference somewhere to turn off this message? When I get it, is the right thing to do to just click OK?

Are you sure it says it's encrypted and not unencrypted?
Also, what version of macOS are you running (I'm working whether it's too old to support encryption).
