My mini iMac is the only device at our home that disconnects from Wi-Fi too often

What exactly do you mean? How often? Are you saying that the other devices do not disconnect at all?

Yes. My husband’s Android never disconnects from home Wi-Fi. My Apple 8+ iPhone and tablet often disconnect.

There is no such thing as a mini iMac. You either have an iMac or a Mac mini.
