I am trying to learn how to lock notes so I have created a few test notes to play with. I have been unable to get the prompt to put in my password. I have tried my phone password and my apple password. I do not recall having any locked notes that I have created in the past. Thanks.

The answer to your question is no, the Notes PW can be different (or the same), you get to select the password when you lock the note.
Thanks. I tried to create a totally new note again. I clicked on Lock Note. I put a new password in the box and then got an Incorrect Password message. I have tried numerous times.
Is my password for a Note the same as my Apple password?
