Shazam doesn't save recognized songs

Hi everyone,

Why Shazam app doesn't save the recognized songs ?

  • After recognizing if from quick control menu button or trough Siri handsfree while you driving, the song appear like banner but after that is not saved in recognized songs playlist unless you go and save it by yourself at that moment. Similar is with in app, it will recognize but if you don't save it by yourself its not gonna be there in the playlist…
  • I expect this bug will be fixed soon.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

Hey, while researching this exact issue, I came upon this reddit post from 6 months ago.

Apparently the songs are added to a separate list. You can find them by long pressing the shazam button in the control center.

Hope this helps

Hello Imbobmi,

Some helpful info on using Shazam can be found here: Use Shazam on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, or Mac - Apple Support

As the page notes, they should get saved to the My Music section. The "See your previous Shazams" will help to go over that part, if needed.

You can also check on iCloud syncing, and syncing the Shazams to Apple Music in the settings of the app, as seen in the "Change your settings" section.

Cheers.

Hi Imbobmi,

Thanks for getting back to us with those additional details. In order to better understand this behavior, we'd like to gather some basic information:

  • When did you first notice this issue with Shazam app not saving recognized songs? Has it every worked this way in the past? If so, do you recall anything changing on your device around the time this issue started?
  • What is the exact iOS 15 version installed on your iPhone? Settings > General > About.
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps since observing this that we should know to avoid repeating?  If so, please specify.

If not, let's try following this article step by step, and see if it helps:

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

These may seem like simple steps, but can resolve many issues.

Please let us know the results, and we'll go from there. Kind regards.

Hi Eric,

I read all your response to my question but didn't helped unfortunately. I appreciate your help but next time please don't because all of your answer looks like a robot (auto answer).

I will be kind to you first and only! 1. Of course you must have account in order to save shazams. 2. It is not the problem whether i save or see the saved ones. 3. The problem is that Shazam doesn't save automatically. 4. Question for you as expert, if you are in situation while you driving car and listening radio and suddenly on the radio is playing some song and in that moment you tell “hey siri shazam” - shazam will give you notification in banner or will give you notification and save it in “my library” for check it latter because you are driving and you cant see it at that moment ?

Thank you @unadvised, your post solve the problem. Now its clear where we can find this recognized songs.

@all

  1. I will test whether trough "Siri" voice command will save to this list or not.
  2. We will see in next update of shazam maybe this 2 separate list to be together as just 1 list and if not, we need to know what is the reason for that.
