Reinstall iMAC

Greetings all

i hope everyone is doing great,

i was wondering if you guys can help me please

okay so i have an iMAC Version 2009 and wanted to know is it possible for me to reinstall the IOS Software ?

Reason why i am asking is because, i have looked on the internet and did almost everything possible

for example

1 - Cleaned by Hard Disk Drive - Done

2 - used the Internet Recovery mode - done

3 - Installed MacOS EL Capitan on a USB and tryed to install - Done

although im saying that between 1 and 3 i did but none of which actually worked but i still have the circle with the line through it

is there something else i can try PLEASE

Thank you

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

using a USB bootable installer? so the .dmg file i have it on a usb and it is a MacOs EL Capitan

A bootable installer will not work with a ".dmg" file on it of OS X. It needs to be created using the Terminal: How to create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support.

At this point, I'd suggest you go to the Genius Bar at an Apple Store. They can assist you in reinstalling OS X El Capitan: Get Support.
