"Export to PDF" menu greyed out in Preview after upgrade to Monterey

Yup - see the same on some not all Received PDFs.

But, using the straight " Export " function does perform as expected.

In the Finder, click once on one of these PDFs that has Export as PDF suppressed, and press opt+cmd+i. What is the content creator shown on that information panel, encoding software (maybe identical to content creator), and the PDF version? Is Security on that panel None?

For now have you tried printing the document to PDF?

FWIW, "Export as PDF" is greyed out when the file is already a PDF.

Just curious, what's the difference between opt+command+i vs command+i? I seem to see the same info.

Same information though now variable per Luis's mention. Same closing shortcut (cmd+w), and different screen location.

The opt+cmd+i became a habit of mine when in older releases of macOS, the Get Info panel would submarine below Safari in the upper-left screen. The opt+cmd+i shortcut avoids that location by opening the panel center screen, though now, the regular Get Info appears above Safari.

The difference is that the former opens the “inspector” window, the contents of which will change to reflect whatever file you select; the latter will always show the information of the same file.

Both still open at the upper left for moi.

My Show Info (opt+cmd+i) has never opened in the upper-left of the screen in years of macOS releases. If you move it center screen and close it, does the next one appear in that location?

Yes, if I move it there. I actually prefer it @ the upper left however.
