Can't use my internal MacBook Pro m1 Max 16" screen as AV output

I want to use the beautiful internal display as a color reference when editing. But still want my ordinary workspace on my bigger external display (browser, timeline, viewer, inspector).


As of now I can only have the AV output on my other external display with the same not so great color space.

That’s right. For now you can set the main interface on the external and use Window->Show on Secondary Display->Viewers. I know it’s not the same as AV Output, but if you put the viewer in full screen it is a viable workaround.


As for allowing the internal display to work as AV Output the only any of us can do is request the feature using feedback:


Final Cut Pro->Provide Final Cut Pro Feedback…
