how to hard reset iphone with macOS Monterey

I have an old Iphone XS that we keep as a backup phone. I let my daughter use it when we had to send her phone in for a repair.

We did a factory reset on it to erase all her info to have for a backup phone again once her old phone was done.

Now it is saying there is a passcode to get in. There are only 2 passcodes we as a family use (all our kids share the same and my husband and I have the same) Those do not work. I read I can use my MAC to do a hard reset through iTunes but my MAc is the macOS Monterey. Can someone help me so I can get into the phone? My husband needs it.

iPhone XS, iOS 14

See the instructions in If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support

As described in that support document, Monterey uses Finder rather than iTunes.
