xr battery died during new update now stuck in restore and not recognizing charger

my iphone xr battery died mid update, was stuck in bootloop, plugged into itunes, failed to download update from there due to network connectivity issues ( computer was hardwired into Ethernet with over 200mbps speed) so i attempted again and itunes says that the phone is in restore mode. I cannot leave the mode or download anything to it successfully.

I did the reset with the up and down vol buttons then side button and was prompted on screen to go to support.apple.com/iphone/restore, but now the computer no longer recognizes the phone. I either get the flashing white apple logo when trying to turn on or the red battery image. After that, the phone just displays the battery low image, as if it doesnt recognize the charger. the phone worked perfectly fine until the recent update attempt. never an issue before this,

iPhone XR, iOS 15

Hello Lilsnyds,

Based on your post, your iPhone XR died during an update. Now you can't restore, charge, or turn it on. We'll do our best to assist with this.

Have you had a chance to test multiple charging cables? If not, we'd try that next.

You mentioned now the computer doesn't recognize the iPhone is connected. We'd make sure you've covered all the steps here to troubleshoot that part: If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

If it brings you back to the Restore screen on the iPhone, you'd want to take these steps: If you see the Restore screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support These steps are specific to that Restore screen, so it may help solve this for us.

Should it persist, we'd confirm the issue doesn't only happen on this computer. If you have access to a family member's or friend's computer, we'd try restoring using that device.

If you are still unable to get it powered on and functioning, then it might be best to bring it in for an inspection: iPhone Repair and Service

Get prepared for your visit: Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service

Select your region and search nearby for locations: Find Locations

Due to the current conditions around the world, some stores may have limited hours or appointment times. They also may require specific things to visit them (Such as, scheduling an appointment, wearing a mask, calling to check-in, etc.).

Wishing you well, take care.
