When I updated to Monterey, in Apple Mail, I can no longer sort by date in my inbox or by folder. How do I get this feature back?

You should tell Apple.
Apple Mail! Finally buy a new computer and my emails is in a total mess. APPLE WHAT HAVE YOU DONE! I have changed computers many times and never had this mess! I have followed your instructions I have done all that and I cannot get my emails to appear like they should! I am now using my old computer to check my emails! and going to google! Mail held them all!
It would be VERY HELPFUL if you would include the link to Tell Apple when you tell folks to do so.
This View change to Mail is absolutely ridiculous: now it takes three clicks to re-sort your .mailbox when it used to take a single right-click. Another example of entropy taking over the software universe: "They" decide to wipe out the useful options so they can play around with all sorts of useless add-ons :-(
