How to create more free space on my MacBook Pro?

It's impossible to create more work space on the disk, what you have is what you have.

You can; however, free up space by moving user created content to external sources: an external hard drive or cloud storage. iCloud Drive is not a long term term autonomous storage solution.

Just be sure you don't move any system type files or folders. Usually the user content taking up the most space is media ... movies, videos, large pictures and so forth.
