Screen Recording on iPad - "Screen Recording failed to save due to: Failed due to asset writer failing to save"

Today, I started receiving the following error on my iPad when trying to record the screen for any length of time: "Screen Recording failed to save due to: Failed due to asset writer failing to save." This is a feature I use almost daily, so I'm not sure what caused it to stop suddenly. I have plenty of memory, have tried turning iCloud on and off for saving photos, and have tried restarting the iPad. Unfortunately, none of those options have worked. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hello AppleMe180,

Does the issue occur when attempting to screen record in a specific app or any? If it's related to a specific app test force closing the app and trying again.

If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

Additionally, is the app or any program you're using also using screen mirroring? If so, screen recordings will not work. "You can't record your screen and use screen mirroring at the same time." You can find this information in the light grey text here: Record the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
